The Privileged Planet - Is Earth just a speck of dust, drifting in a vast cosmic sea?  Exploring evidence for intelligent design in the universe, this documentary reveals that our world is far more than the product of time, chance, and random process.  Through amazing computer recreation, interviews with leading scientists, and spectacular images of our planet and the cosmos, we see startling evidence of an intelligent Creator's mind and plan.  A truly unforgettable journey from the remote galaxies to the planet we call home, which teaches us how incredibly finely tuned for life and scientific discovery the universe and Earth are.  The Privileged Planet strongly succeeds in finding the connection between our capacity to survive, and our ability to observe and understand the universe.

Darwin's Dilemma – The final part of this trilogy examines what many consider to be the most powerful refutation of Darwinian evolution ever - the Cambrian fossil record.  This has been called the most spectacular event in the history of life, for in an eye-blink of geological time, complex animals first appeared on earth fully formed, without evidence of any evolutionary ancestors.  This revelation stands in direct contradiction to Darwin’s theory of evolution through small gradual steps.  This explosion of life was one of biological information: assembly instructions in DNA, and embryonic blueprints that directed the development of the first complex animals.  This information could only have been the product of foresight, purpose, and intelligent design.  Darwin realized that the fossil evidence did not support his theory of step-by-step evolutionary development, so instead he wished and hoped that future generations of scientists would unravel this inexplicable mystery, and then make the necessary discoveries to validate his ideas.  Nothing frustrated and distressed Darwin more than the Cambrian explosion of life.
